Global healthcare needs access to safe surgical sterilization, lack of which drives up the infection rates. Inadequate sterilization may also contribute to the spread of HIV and other diseases that spread via contact through bodily fluids.
The mismanagement at post-harvest leads to 45% loss in fruits, vegetables and tubers (FVT) raising social, economical and environmental concerns. India annually produces fruits and vegetables of the value of about ₹7000 crores and wastage may be
of the order of ₹2100 crores. This is a huge loss of valuable food even when the minimum food requirement of the population is not met.

Applied Chemist - Lead
MicroGO is seeking an Applied Chemist to provide leadership and technical support in our Product Development Infection Prevention team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, curious individual who can work with various formulation challenges. The individual in this position will work within the team to identify and explore innovative solutions to solve specific customer needs in the hygiene and infection prevention industry. The individual will work within a team, exploring a variety of innovation areas including sustainable solutions. The individual must have a passion for developing technologies and bringing them to commercialized products.
Key Responsibility:

To lead & and work on innovations both internally invented and utilizing external technologies.

Develop an understanding of hygiene products including formulation, performance and efficacy tests, and the current regulations governing their use.

Work across various applications all within the infection prevention area.

Work on global opportunities.

Communicate to stakeholders regularly by sharing information, creating technical reports, and delivering presentations.

Establishes and develops contacts with relevant third-party technology/science partners.

Utilization of chemistry knowledge to implement unique solutions.

Knowledge of raw materials and manufacturing processes.

Interpret customer problem statements provided by strategic marketing and explore solutions to solve these.
Required Qualification:
-
Masters in Chemistry or another related field.

3+ years’ experience with the innovation field.
-
Experience in water treatment or related industry, formulations in the cleaning & hygiene industry is preferred.

Proven track record of product formulations development.
Additional Qualification:

Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience – demonstrated record of cross functional communication and results.

Excellent written and oral presentation skills.

Proven leadership & training skills.

Knowledge of Hindi is preferred.
